Stephanie is a 51-year-old attractive, personable female. She juggles being a mom and working as a part time interior designer. Stephanie was interested in Invisalign as she had noticed that her lower teeth were getting more and more crowded. She also noticed that her bite felt as though her teeth were moving into different positions. After seeing an Invisalign television advertisement, she found my office via the doctor locator on the Invisalign.com website. An Invisalign consultation followed, and Stephanie made the decision that it was important to address the crowding issues that bothered her.
Stephanie was not aware of the relationship of her bite and the resultant periodontal recession issues, in particular on the lower front teeth. She is a good candidate for the Clear Chronicles as she presents with otherwise good periodontal condition but her anterior end to end bite relationships will likely mean that her periodontal issues will only get worse if left untreated. Her case presents a very typical problem of crowded anterior teeth in conjunction with typical periodontal recession secondary to her bite relationships. Stephanie is very excited to see her smile improve and understands the importance of improving her periodontal issues. She has reasonable expectations for her Invisalign treatment and is anxious to begin to see her results!
